What I miss most

The virus has effected us all in many different ways. Everyone is very worried and living their life in fear. Due to this, many people can't do activities they love to do. The first thing I miss most in soccer. It is very hard to not be able to go see friends and play the game I loved growing up. I would have soccer five times a week, it was my whole life. It was always on my mind and was what I would look forward to almost everyday. We were just about to start our playoff run which would of given us the shot to go back to provincials. It has been a hard time for me without soccer and I can't wait to get everything back to normal. The second thing I miss the most is my family gatherings. Every Sunday we would have a family dinner. All of my cousins would come over at 1pm and cook and laugh all day while making food. It was a tradition that would always be special to us, since I was little this has been my way of living. The smell of meatballs on the stove and the sausage on the barbecue is something a person would drool over. It was so nice to see family come over and be together. In todays age it is very rare to have these as many people are busy and have packed weekends. However you should always make time for family because, at the end of the day friends come and go but, family last forever.

Pandemic

Where do I begin, this pandemic has effected me greatly. First, school has changed dramatically. I wake up at whatever time I want and do work at my table. I go from long classes to doing a little amount of work and done school by 12. I miss having that connection with classmates and teachers, it is nice to have school like this but, I would like to see everyone and reconnect. I feel the school board isn't to enough, many students are doing work or school because their grade can't drop. I find this terrible because, some students are working hard while others sit around and do nothing. The school boards need to step things up and make school mandatory. Since it's online that shouldn't change the way the grading system works. It is said to say that my school sports are cancelled too. I was looking forward to being able to have fun and play with my fellow classmates and make great memories. Second, my soccer season is cancelled. I play high level soccer and was about to start playoffs, I was looking very excited to get the chances to win the league again and have the chance to go to Provincials but, everything has been cancelled and it's sad to say I can't get this chance back. Finally, our social life and the way we live has been impacted. If you go for a drive down Lonsdale, many stores that you would see and love are closed. It's sad to see many small businesses closed and how hard they must be effected by this. The stores that are open, have very strict restrictions, with tape on the floor and hand sanitizer everywhere you go, there is a huge worry and scare in the world. I hope that things will end soon and we can go back to our normal life and not have to live in fear anymore.

My hobby

Ever since I could walk I have always had a soccer ball by my feet. It would of always been a dream to play professional soccer just like my Dad. My whole life is surrounded by soccer, rather it's playing soccer in my backyard and breaking my fence kicking a ball at it, or waking up at 5:30am to watch the Italian league on a Sunday morning. I have had a very successful soccer career, I have won many championships, been to Provincials, and play at one of the highest levels. I have made many great memories and friendships through soccer. It's not just a game but my lifestyle, I pour my heart and sweat into it and in return I have had reached goals I thought I never would of.
